    Looks like the crappie size limit on Dogwood and Hardy have been approved.

    –Requiring wild turkey hunters to wear hunter orange in counties designated for special late antlerless deer season on the dates those two seasons overlap;

    A little off of the fishing topic, but requiring turkey hunters to wear hunter orange during the antlerless season??? These are the things that make me scratch my head about the common sense of our DNR. Hunting turkeys with a bow with orange on.....genius.

    I have hunted PA where you have to post orange on a tree within so many yards of your calling position. No issue. I don't think turkeys really care about orange. It's the movement that runs them off.

    That's like the rule DNR had on high powered rifles for deer hunting in THEIR proposal that they eventually didn't pass. It was so broad and generic the way it was written. Anything including and above 243 cal. would be legal meaning I could use a 50 cal. sniper rifle had it have passed. How about the blue gill limit. Did it pass?

    I see what turkey's do when I'm in my deerstand during firearms season. They leave the area immediately. Yes, Pennsylvania requires orange when moving, and some wildlife areas require it to be within 15 feet of a stationary caller. That means they can tie it around a tree, it definitely doesn't mean they have to wear it. Turkey's have very keen eyesight.

    Ya, I didn't understand why they proposed an "all or nothing" on rifles. Why not baby step it and try 30-30 and 45-70, then next year a few more and so on. It's almost like they wanted it to fail. Under THEIR proposal a AK47 with a 30 rds. magazine would be legal and you know there would be guys who'd use it and dump the whole mag at a moving deer. Or people using a .300 Win Mag trying to hit a deer a mile away. Scary when I think about what I've seen and heard with just shotguns.

    OK,, I will add to the fire. What ya think about all the increases in fees.??? Launch permits up, camping..entry fees to parks,,etc. Its ok with me,,if I can see any improvements,,but,,show me the improvements that the money is working for the improvements. When they did the last launch fee increase,,Mitch Daniels, cut back on all the park work,,closed a lot of the little campgrounds along the rivers, etc,,and where did all the cutback money go then? No improvements,,no trash pickup at launch sites,,etc..etc. I don't mind paying more, if I can see the money working for the people.
