Just wondering. I know it is chuck full of cats and hear there is a bass re-stocking program going on. Have not heard about crappie. What an awesome lake it once was, 3lb crappie was not un-common and bassin, just wow!

I've always wanted to fish that lake. But reports of nothing but catfish and carp have kept me away.

Where's it at? Love cat fishing, and love even more to eat them. May have to try to lend a hand and try to eliminate some of them cats

Off of 41 south on west side of state. About 40 minutes north of vincennes, about 40 south of Terre Haute. Maybe 15 minutes from Sullivan, pretty good fishing in the area. We used to go down and fish turtle creek, and green sullivan state forest on a weekend. Lot of time would hit couple other areas as well.

Hoosier energy cooling lake, Merom is the town that it is closet to.

Two biggest crappie I've ever caught came there. Both over 18 1/2", well one was 18 1/2", the other one was 18 3/4".

If you fish it,,just be safe..wind makes this shallow lake very dangerous,,with large white caps. Indiana Catfish Assn,,has a tourney on it as its full of cats.
