Thread: Put some keepers in the boat

With ballgames 4 evenings and forecasted 25 mph winds this week, we decided to put on the raingear and hit some small pits. We kept 20 crappie mostly average size but a couple were near 14" and had some gills too. I hooked up a big bass that manhandled me too. BG jigs with blue and silver kalines curly tails worked best but other colors caught some too. Crappie were from 2 feet to 4 in any brush or weeds. Females are not showing eggs as much as I would thought but the males were dressed up for action.
