Finally..got to use recently purchased boat

Picked up boat from repair shop after having it for three weeks and never seeing a fish. Happy to report the trailer axle held together on my journey to find a crappie. I could see that the axle that was replaced had been separated between the hub and axle shaft at the weld for a while. From now on I will take a quick look at trailer hubs and hangers while the boat is in the water.
Happy to report I put lots of crappie over the gunnels but most were dinks. Finally found some decent keepers staged in 5-7 fow. I was swimming 1/24 BG jigs with various dark swim tails. Turns out the bigger fish wanted black and chartuse and wanted it fast where the dinks would hit it running slow. Had a good mix of decent gils in the box too.
