    Default Caught my first fish through the ice


    Decided to get serious about ice fishing this year and bought some goodies. Got out Sunday and caught 30 dinks, but learned a lot about fishing through the ice. Hope to get out twice this weekend.

    I echo Rico's advise, tread carefully. You will end up buying more gear then you should. All kidding aside, it is a great time. I find myself fishing short rods and a vexilar in the summer over the edge of the boat.
