A group of guys are looking for new place to crappie fish making plans for a trip last week end in Sept.. Having never fished CMH is it a good crappie lake and where is a good place to stay? Any help would be appreciated.

Econo Lodge - Rockville IN Hotel Near Rockville Lake Park

There isn't anything reasonably priced that is very nice, but you're there to fish. We stay here and it does the trick. The lake has a good population of black crappies, but weekends can be brutal with boat traffic. It won't be as bad in a few weeks, but a pretty day will be your enemy. There is a good amount of idle zone, if you need a place to retreat to during the busy hours.
