Very nice! Thanks for sharing.
Nice fish, congrats
I didn't get a chance to measure the fish. My wife caught the biggest one. Its probably close to 15in. All of our fished lived to bite another day.
My wife hates killing them. Plus I had to work that evening and didn't want the hassle. Was a lot of fun though.
Thats what its all about!
I'm just getting into river crappie fishing but I'm glad to hear your catching them down here. Just got back from Barkley and caught some good ones now might have to try my luck on some river slabs. Good luck to ya on your next trip.
I think the creeks on the cannelton pool are better. Big and little blue, oil, yellow banks, clover, tar and deer are all good. A hard falling river will mess it up. Focus on channel stumps and bays. I mostly vertical jig or cast a jig under a float. The best part is they are always shallow. Some creeks have large flats with a defined channel; these are especially good. When I don't have time to drive down there I hit some bays on the mcalpine close to home. Good luck. There's a pretty good kentucky afield video on YouTube about river crappie fishing
Those are Southern Indiana studs!!
Nice job
