Was out last saturday in goose creek and did well. Went back Sunday in the winds and could barely buy a bite. Have not been back since the weather changed, we didn't get near as much rain as predicted but the lake did go up about 2 foot i think. I'm heading over tonight to check it out as im supposed to fish a tourney there Sunday, if lake is in bad shape i may try below spillway even though i hate it.

Up river is a little high and stained , still picked up a few white bass, but no crappie. This cooler weather along with this sun, rain, wind has really slowed the bite. Let us know how you did.

I tried below the spillway tonight, surprisingly not very many people there. Had about 10 keepers and 1 nice white bass Biggest crappie was right at 12. Never even got up to look at the lake. Will try and check that out tomorrow even though the winds look terrible again with 30 mph gusts. Think we have had 30 mph gusts every singe day this week now.

We did well too fishing in one of the coves on the lake even with the winds absolutely pounding us. Fished 9-10 foot deep with minnies about 2-3 feet off a rock wall. No monsters, just a bunch of 9-10 inchers.

9 to 10 inchers seem to be the norm this year, remember a few years ago all the 11"-14 " the lake was producing ?

I was there saturday also. Fishing was decent in the cove we were in until the wind blew us through the middle of where we were catching them. It drug the anchor through the fish and then it was game over. Mostly 9-10 inch fish for us.
