I was wondering the same thing myself, as I'm heading south today for French Lick. Good Luck to You!

I caught one in a pit at Blue Grass last Saturday. Fishing from the bank.

I personally like bank fishing in the early spring close to home. Don't have to fight the wind and the cold near as much and it makes it much simpler to go for an hour or two if its no good head home.

Just returned from French Lick and the creek was full of fish Thursday and Friday. However, due to the rains last night and today, the creek is coffee as can be and moving swift. I don't have any fish reports yet since I spent most of my time with the kiddos at the water park for Spring Break. All I could do was site see.

I caught some bluegill and an 11 inch redear last Friday in a small lake. Had to really finess them though and pull em out of a treetop lost a few hooks too.
