I would like to try the Ohio and Tanners Creek myself but don't want to take the chance with a lost day of fishing. I have heard many stories of the streams and rivers of the Ohio River system being killer in the spring but not much about fall/winter fishing. Hope someone will give up some knowledge.
Keep them poles bent and the boat right side up! LOL

Been catching some really nice fish past couple weeks in the Cannelton pool. Was using minnows but catching em better on jigs. Keeping on the move fishing channel stumps. 8-10 ft if water floating a jig 3ft. Really light bites though. Catching some big ones. I'm familiar with tanners and in think u could do the same. Just look for shad

best way to know is to go try. what ever way you like to chase them, the river should accommodate. move move move, watch the finder, and fish all options till you find something. when you find some, fish other areas that are similar. searching new water is never a waist of time! best of luck to ya!
