Was considering camping New Year’s Eve at Rend. The weather looks warmer then it’s been but water was 40 last week is there ice out there now now?

I read a report on a duck hunting site, said ramps on west side iced in. Over 3/8 inch of ice. Might open up now with warmer weather

There is no ice, we got a little ice last week but it was gone very quickly.

Weather is still looking good I was out up north by Joliet in my boat busting through 1” to 2” of ice and getting fish. I stopped at the 2” the boat was almost getting stuck on top of ice
