OK, so 2 of my buddies and I decided to go down to Crab Orchard on a last minute trip.
We got there Tuesday afternoon and my buddies decided to go out and try their luck and
fished for about 2 hours. When they came back they didn't sound too enthused about
what they caught. We went out on Wed. and the water temp was about 61-62 at the
boat launch. We decided to fish the Cambria Necks area and we caught about 40 fish
total but only kept 15 fish that were over 10 inches. Went back to the Cambria area on
Thursday after a nasty storm blew thru Wed evening into Thursday AM and the temps
took a dive. Went out about 9:30AM and to our surprise the fish were in a more cooperative
mood. Ended up with over 150 fish caught and came home with 55 keepers all over 10 inches.
Biggest fish caught was about 14.5 inches. The hot bait was a 1/32oz lead head with a red/yellow
plastic triple tail we bought at Wal-Mart. For the most part we cast into the shore line all along
the Cambria Neck area, but the best area we found was the old boat launch on the north side of
Rte 13. We launched out of the Greenbriar launch and there weren't many rigs in the lot until
we came back for lunch. Water was high and dirty. Water temps both days reached the 66 degree
mark later in the afternoon. Wished we could have stayed an extra day or two, but had to get home.

Nice job!! Good report
Nice Job!!! Crab Orchard is a good lake. I wish I didn't live so far away from there or I'd be there all the time.
