Mill Creek
Just was wondering about Millcreek with all the rain we had last month. Do any of you fish this in June and any ideas of what the crappie might be doing. Might try to come over from Indiana next week. It is about a 2 hour drive from here.

Well I never got a reply but went anyway. Water temp 78 and got windy in afternoon. Did not have any success. Met some nice folks at the ramp that lent us a life jacket so we would be legal. They were camping there and even went back to there camping area to get the life jacket. Bait shop was closed so we didn't get any minnows. A nice fellow said the crappie bite was pretty much over but might catch some gills. He showed us some pictures on his phone of some nice red ear that they had been catching. told us to fish around the weed line and any beds we could see on the inside edges. I think live bait would have been the ticket. water was clear and we might try again in the fall. Nice lake but a little pricy for out of State people to launch. We just threw crappie jigs and caught some small crappie.
