I made it out to Rend yesterday to try some minnows in the brush. I thought I was going crappie fishing and I ended up in the middle of the Bassmaster Classic. The guys said there is a FLW-BFL bass tourney this weekend. There must have been close to a million dollars in boats/trucks in the bait shop parking lot as I bought a half pound of minnows.

Today was the toughest day I've had of 6 trips to Rend this year. I ended up with 10 overs and 12 unders, a large bluegill, two 2-3lb channel cats, and a 5lb channel cat. Water temp was 68-69 and visibility 6"-12". I fished 7am to almost 4pm. I found a spot about 3pm and caught my last 5 overs in that one area. The rest were scattered far and few between. Well far and few between for overs and 9-10 inch keeper unders. I used the entire half pound of minnows and 6-8 inchers were plentiful. Overall it was a good day and my overs were nice fat 12"-13" fish. I just wish I would have found that last honey hole earlier.
