Lake Springfield?
Plan on trying Lake Springfield Thursday for the first time. Is anyone willing to share any advice? Just looking for a good ramp to use this time of year, and maybe a pattern you have had success with. Thanks for any help gentleman.

We fished pretty hard from 8-2. Caught two right away off a dock, but that pattern didn't do well for us. We struggled finding crappie. We caught several bass and other species, but crappie proved tough for us today. I believe we ended up catching five or six, which we threw back. Had a couple good ones get off also. Tried several different patterns. Area of lake we fished may have made it more difficult? Fished pretty close to power plant. Water temperature near discharge was in lower 70's. Temp dropped 10 + degrees a cove or two away. Caught one male in full spawning colors, and missed another BIG male. Beautiful day on the water! Lot of nice homes from what I saw also. We fished with both minnows and jigs.
