Christmas time Crappie.
If the lake don't lock up before hand. They will bite until it freezes over on the north end. We have been fishing 8-10 fow tight lining our baby shad plastics in smoke glow with sparkle's and blue and pearl. Then when it freezes up we will head to south end for some deep river ledge fishing. They have started pulling water now ( 1245 cfm ) but it should increase by Dec.15th when they start the draw down. If we don't get a bunch of rain like we did last Dec. the crappie bite should be good all winter if we don't freeze up early. If your a Muskie fisherman below the spillway is the place to be. They are catching a few now with a Walleye now and then. But when the discharge rate increases it can be some of the best fishing around. So get out and enjoy some good winter fishing. On another note those folks that were calling and asking about Christmas Gift Certificates. I had them put on my homepage of my website for easier purchase so you can get them faster.
