Power plant lake at coffeen il. North of Greenville
Coffeen is located east of Litchfield, IL and south of Rte 185. Litchfield is Exit 52 on Rte 55,
so about 20 miles southeast of Litchfield.
Thanks guys for the information. I fish the power plant over here in Indiana but Sullivan but the crappie have diminished. Has been taken over by catfish. Might have to give Coffeen a try.
Might try a minnow or jig under a cork. Drop it through the weeds.
went to coffeen on wed parking lot was almost full,my first time fishing there I didn't do very well, cant believe that no one is talking about it,boats were everywhere
What where the water temps? Clarity?
Like fishfryed said people stay tight lipped about that lake. Their afraid that 1000+ acre lake with a 25 HP limit and 50' max depth will get overfished.
If you go in the summer, try north of the RR tracks, stays a little cooler up their.
Look at the views on this post. Over 1000 views and most other posts have 200-400. Lot to be said about that...
