    Default First time on Rend

Will be heading down to Rend in two weeks normally we would drive right past and head to Kentucky Lake. Probably will hire a guide. Any help on where to start would be greatly appreciated.
If you cast it they will come.

Mean green who posts here often about Rend is a great guide, and always supports our crappie camps is definitely worth a call. I would imagine you will have a hard time finding a guide on this short of notice this time of the year though. These guys will have the prime fall dates booked quite a ways out.

Definitely agree with the above guys! Nick Shafer and his uncle Bill will put you
on the fish. Give 'em a call, Crappie Predator Guide Service (618) 472-4763

Fished Tues(11/02) and Wed(11/03) and caught a bunch of shorts, all in the 6-7 inch range.
All released. Wind was tough 11/01 thru 11/03, Mon & Tues 15-20mph SSW and Wed 8-12mph NNW
Water temps still in the upper 60's. Fished Nason Point stump fields, South Marcum and
both sides of 154 out of Wayne Fitzgerrell. Not a lot of action on any of the boats we
    saw nearby.

We had to cancel our trip down. Had to put two hub assemblies on my truck. How the fishing later on in the month or maybe early December?

You may want to check in with the folks at Lake Zone Tackle.
When the water temps get down into the lower 50's fishing
for keepers should get better. Also might want to check in
with Nick Shafer of Crappie Predator Guide Service or Greg
Campbell of Crappie Extreme Guide Service
