Clinton Lake Crappie Fishing Report 10/12/2016
We are starting to see the fish move up and really starting to put the feed bag on.
For bank fisherman I have seen many anglers having success in the mascoutin boat ramp area and by the 54 bridge. Depending on weather fishing a cork around 4 to 8ft with a bright colored jig seems to be most effective from the shore. Some success has come from using slider grubs as well.
For fishing on the main lake I have been having success from almost one side of the lake to the other. Pay attention to your water temp, that will dictate what depth to fish in. I am still having the most fishing success in 10ft and using minnows. Recently I have fished anywhere from 4ft to 12ft so pay attention to water temp. When jigging bright colored jigs have worked best and I have caught some retrieving with crappie sliders.
Limits are coming off the lake so get out there and get you one.
Thanks for reading,
Terry Davis
