Has anybody been to any of the lakes mentioned in the title very recently.
I was planning a trip for mid to late October and am trying to find out what
my best chances would be like and the best method of attack on these lakes.
I'm not asking for anybodies spots just some help in the right direction.
Thanx in advance for your responses!

Crab orchard is relatively easy to fish. You have to weed through tons of small fish to catch some quality fish. Its worth a trip if you never been there. Stop at crappie pro shop in carterville they can help you.
Thanx guys! Hey "derbyl73", my buddy and I have been to Crab Orchard before and struck out.
And the Crappie Pro Shop is always on my list of places to stop and see what I can't live without!
Crab Officials have lowered the lake 6 inches to perform work on dam and hopefully FIX a boat ramp or two. They are treacherous except for the west side ramp on spillway road. They cannot tell us when projects might start, end or duration of drawdown. As taxpayers we should know these things. And these are fee lakes, not free. Call their office and let em have it! 618 998 5933.
