    Default carlyle spillway


    are there crappie in Carlyle spillway,if so what else can you catch there? can you launch a boat in spillway?

    There are a ton of crappie at the spillway. Lot of smalls, but the bigs are there. Catch them at Dam West, almost even with the fish cleanin station on minnows, or tube jigs (black and chartreuse). Or you can get a few along with some nice white bass by the dam wall. The white bass are hitting minnows, and little george spinners. There is a boat launch south of the dam a ways. Channel cats are plentiful on sonnies dip bait. Flatheads are possible by the wall....i do the best on them when I use a small white bass, but most people use bluegill. If you like big channels, chunk up an asian carp. Hope this helps.

    There are, but I've never fished for them there. It's not like shelbyville where you can catch a lot all summer.
