Default Mississippi Crappie Trip Spring 2017

Trying to plan a crappie trip next spring in Mississippi for a group of guys. Looking at Grenada or Lake Washington, but open to suggestions. Need to find a guide and lodging. Any suggestions from my fellow Illinoisans?

Either lake would be a good pick. We go to Washington every year at the beginning of March. We do not hire a guide and we stay at Baits & Thangs. There is Baits & Thangs and Roys which is aboput a mile down the lake and I hear it is nice as well. If you have your own boat I would not hire a guide. Take your spider riggin equipment.

Thanks. Is spider rigging the most popular way to fish in MS?

Recommend you contact Mike Hanfelder - he's a friend of mine from Granite City and works out of Grenada Lake crappie guides and they're on Facebook. They tore 'em up this spring (still are too)
