What about using the mini mag planer board's ? Tx-12 I think

I love this idea about the jig above the crank......Curious if you use a 3-way swivel above the crank to tie your jig and then a small leader off the 3-way to the jig or do you tie directly to the line?

Jnally: you said pushing is a whole nother story, please elaborate. Is it that much tougher?

Pushing instead of a jig up top i run a 4oz weight above it on dual swivels on 16ft rods gotta watch speed and and line lenght to achieve the depth your wanting with 8 of those out front its alot of work if you havnt done it before you might get a crank bait that wont run true i keep a hand file on boat to fix if not youll have a mess
