Just got back
We just pulled in last night from Mississippi. I can some it up in two words Giant Crappie. The lake we were fishing is in a pre spawn mood. ( 2 tourneys coming up will keep it disclosed for now. Pm me for info ) First day was a little slow but we were only on the water for a few hours and did more scouting than fishing. We had two boats with us. One was 14' john with only trolling motor and sculling paddle. And our regular lake boat set up for spider rigging and long lining jigs or pulling mini boards. For numbers long lining out produced the second day. The third day spider rigging was the way to go for big fish When it slowed up midday The boys in the Jon boat were starting to catch fish shallow when that sun started to get high in the sky. The key on the shallow bite was slow and slower. Use your paddle most of the time to go tree to tree. This cold front will slow the bite down till weeks end about Friday then look for it to pick back up.. Enjoy
