    Default Rend Lake

Here is a quick report on Rend Lake. Been too busy to post much. Weather is typical Southern Illinois in the fall cool one day hot the next. Water temps are holding steady in the low 60's and fishing is good but will bust loose and be outstanding as soon as it cools of another 5°-10°. We are fishing schooling fish that are gorging on shad along dropoffs in 8' to 14' foot of water and are fishing jigs close to the bottom.

Nice job Nick, looks like you need a bigger board to hold all those fish.
Lets go soak a line. Pat

Got to spend a day on the water with Nick and was not disappointed. He is one terrific guide and fisherman who is willing to share his expertise and knowledge. If anyone is looking for a guide, I highly recommend Nick. He will put you on the fish and make you forget all of your aches, pains and troubles !!!! Give him a call, he is very easy to talk to and he will not BS you. We fished with him on Monday, Oct 26 and caught well over 200 crappie, while keeping our 25.
THANX again Nick !! Dave & Billy

Thank you Dave. You both were a pleasure to fish with. Look forward to seeing you again. Here is a picture of your catch.
