Did a little pushing and pulling on Shelbyville last weekend,,the lake was rocking with the pleasure boats and believe me we took more than few waves so if your going go Early and the last 2-3 hours before sunset wasn't too bad either,,,the area we fished was from the 2 point down to Lithia,,east side was the best for us staying in 40ft. Of water and never going any shallower than 25ft.,,the thermocline is around 18ft. And normally we would setting those cranks just above it, a bit deeper but,for us it was different and we shallowed up the cranks from 35 on the Line counter and never let out farther than 55,,our magic number was about 45, we didn't exactly kill them but we did have a lot of fun and brought home a nice mess to enjoy with our family,,my dad, uncle and cousin have never pulled cranks a day of their life and when the 14' and 20' rods took off it was a blast for me watching them reel in some fish,,they made a lot of mistakes and lost more than they landed,,lol,,anyways this is a first time post for me on here,,I hope it is helpful,,Thank you Wilbur for getting me hooked on this crankn game,,,see ya all @ fall camp!!
