Guys you might not be getting deep enough with your cranks. The fish are very very hungry right now.. most of the fish im catching are 13-20ft deep over deeper water. Caught probably 80 or so in just 4 hours yesterday.

Bird and all,
I went over late Saturday as I was going after catfish during the night (my bad, no success) but using minnows did well on brush in depths 20'+ and getting them down as deep as I could. Lost several nice ones at boat (didn't use net) but managed a limit by noon - all in one area.
I was just lucky on them for my nighttime expedition was a bust...

It was a pain too, as my transducer went out and all I could do was try and look at one on my console...
Also, I only had one marker buoy and it's line was maybe 25'!!
GoBob, I will be back over this weekend and hope to try juging for the first time. Any suggestions out there are appreciated, as to bait, etc. I am going to try noodles instead of jugs.
Nice job Bob.
It is right now at 609.6 and is "suppose" to crest on 7/3 at 610.59...

You "Da Man" Bob, but I can't believe that you are using minnows>>>
I like noodles, 18" long, tie string to one end. Will stand up when bit. Push a piece of ½" PVC through it, cap other end. Wrap reflective tape around it, shows up real good.
As for bait, use a throw net for shad, if legal their. Otherwise bait shrimp on an octopus or circle hook, i get them confused. They self impale a lot better. On fingers also!
Jerry, as Mean Green reminds me ALL the time that even a blind squirrel will find a nut occasionally, I just got lucky all things considered.
I already bought noodles but why the PVC?
Nicely done Bob. Hey what is the name of that plastics company you put me onto? The garlic infused ones. I can't remember. I got them at Scheels after you told me about them, but I know they have a website.
Draper Soft Plastics.
go to their Facebook page for ordering.
