    Default Shelbyville reports?

Any reports on shelbyville? I've been hearing that the lake level is still low. Anybody catching any fish yet?

Fish have been very scattered. Lots of fish roaming in open water. Some are doing alright. waters 59-63 but the fish are not even close to spawning with the exception to some black crappies.

I was on there Saturday and today...a few small bass by accident...crappie bite is poor in my opinion. A few dinks here and there. I'm sure some of the wise guys are doing ok. Water level is extremely low. It can only get better.

Got 8 keepers in about 2 hours sunday evening. All I can say is you're gonna have to work for them, catch one or two and they shut down on a spot.

Water level is not extremely low, it is right where it should be for this time of year. It is the same every year (with exceptions due to flooding). The corps takes it down to 594 every year during the winter. Winter pool, summer pool, etc. Only reason they left it high this winter was due to waterfowl season and they chose to leave it "high" for longer than normal.

Bass bite ok, no crappie yet for me.
