What part of the lake are the bushes at?
All over lake in every cove
Any reports from you would be great. Have a group heading there next Thursday they Sunday. And if anyone else has suggestions please reply first time fishing rend lake
brad, fished here sunday. had 6 good fish but, that was it. as stated above they may be there but, they can be tough to locate. our fish were actually behind, not in the buck brush. will try farther north tomorrow or friday. this lake can be intimidating. good luck
I caught 16 there sunday. 10 in the 12 to 14in range the others were around 10in. The were not on the banks. They were on about 8ft of water and I caught them everywhere between 2 and 6ft deep. Cork and jigs of many colors. All were female bulging with eggs.
Hope that helps. And the bite was very slight. Also forgot to state that I also caught a ton of 4 to 6 inchers. Slab were hitting just like the tater chips where. Very suttle.
Thanks for all the input...truly appreciated. I purchased a map yesterday of the lake and looks like a shallow lake for the most part up in the northern part of the lake. Going to have to be careful running up there..Going to launch around the resort Im thinking right now...
Any thoughts on what the crappie will do with this cooler weather?? Still taking any pointers for our first trip to rend lake thanks for all the info so far
