    Default Forbes Lake

I've recently been bouncing between construction projects at Flora and Patoka. I recently took a drive through Forbes State Park for the first time. The facilities and lake look awesome. Seen lots of boat trailers during the middle of the week at the boat ramp. Curious what type of fishing the lake is known best for (crappie, bass, musky, walleye). I'd love to come back with a boat sometime.

    That don't sound promising.

I have other lakes closer so I don't go to Forbes often. But, it can be worth a try. I have caught several 12 inch crappie there, yeah lots of small ones to go along. Also have caught some dandy hybrid strippers casting crank baits off main points. I have tried several times to catch walleye with no luck, I have seen pictures of some of them. Nice marina with a restaurant if it's open. Since your going to be in the area I think it's worth a try.
