sangchris or coffeen

Well it looks as if the weather is finally going to be tolerable again just wanted to see if anyone has been lately. Also thought of trying coffeen. Ive never been there hows the crappie there is it difficult to find spots to fish.

I would double check with site super before venturing to Coffeen. The plant had an oil leak and the lake was closed last I heard. That was a week ago however.

Coffeen is open. The fish can be feast or Famine there. Shallow and deep...unique fishery. I like it.

That's sounds just like sangchris very hit or miss but as of late I've had a hard time finding good size fish. A couple years ago I found a lot of 12s but now it's hard to find 10s but a lot of shorts.

When we go to coffeen we dont catch a lot of shorts... very good quality and its one of my favorite lakes for giant black crappies.

I guess there is some really nice ones in it actually. Chickenguy caught some Gooduns there this past spring
