Hit Lake Merrmett on sat afternoon hopping to do some damage to the crappie population, but all that would be had were 4 to 7 inch dinks. but catching those fish on baits that I made was the icing on the cake. The color didnt seem to matter as long as it was a 32nd or smaller bait. but on the good side the bluegills and the redears were on fire. We kept anything overe 9 inches with many in the 10 to 11 inch range.on sunday it was a repeat of saturday, only they wanted black and chatruse or red and chartruse micro tube jigs. good thing I have friends in so ill who weree all to kind to help out. on mon it was a high pressure that shut it down then on tues it was a little slower but this day they wanted a bait only I had made, a black and chartruse soilid tube with a ball tail. needles to say i dont have any left so need to shoot some more up tommorrow. hopefully some picks to follow.
