LAKE TAYLORVILLE
Well fished the lake the past two days with pretty good sucess. Have fished mainly laydowns with fish coming from
water 3'-5' deep. Tried fishing a cork, but that seemed slow and hit and miss. My best bite came tightlining a strike king joker in junebug/chart. by allowing bait to hit bottom then lifting up 6"-1' then letting it sit still within 10sec. they would thump it!!! This time of year that always seems the best technique. Had several bonus Largemouth bass take the bait too. The wind which was coming from the south was bitterly cold sunday, but was good and warm monday. You just had to deal with the gusts. My best fish was a thick 12" blacknose crappie I pulled off a stump. I havent caught a blacknose in awhile. So if anybody has time to get to taylorville im here to say bite seems pretty good, just need to fish a little slow. My intentions next are to get on Shelbyville this week totry and get an idea on some places for the methodist tourney this sat. so I dont get skunked

Ain't no feesh in shelbyville
but good report and great pickup on the bouncing off bottom technique. Sometimes that's the only way we can trigger them. Good job!!
