    Default Braided line

I switched to braided line this year. I'm truly a big fan now. How often should it be changed on the spool?
    Thanks

It'll last for years. Heat and light don't affect it like mono.

It all depends how much you fish it, I, after 2 to 3 years take and reverse it on the spool after cutting off about 24 inches of the end that was tied to lures. Many of the hi- vis lines tend to fade after a year or two but the line itself is still good. I have some braid going on 5/6 years old and its still good. The hi-vis power pro on my slip bobber rigs iss all faded out, from bright green to white but it still catches fish.
I don't suffer from insanity; I enjoy every minute of it.....

The first time I fished with Kyle Schoenherr he was using braid. I liked it, and ended up switching most of my reels over to it. I absolutely Love it! I am using 10# on most of my poles but I did rig one the other day with 20# Power Pro Hi-Vis Yellow, with light wire hooks it should be great for jigging heavy brush this fall. I'll find out.

That is all that I use. 10-15 lbs power pro. No stretch and super sensitive. You can feel the slightest of hit and can tell the difference between light hit and rubbing on a branch. Just my 2 cents.
Lets go soak a line. Pat

Love my braid. Been using the 832 10# for a bit over 5 years and its still going strong. It got faded and I redyed it. according to my wife, it should hold color about a year. Lack of stretcch is a blessing and curse. careful with those hook sets. Strength and diameter can lead to some nasty cuts.... Keep a 6" dowel handy for retrieving lures or breaking line. Got one Rod/Reel combo that has almost 400 days on the water and line is still good.

Often I use a small barrel swivel followed by a 3' Fluorocarbon leader saves a lot of line and with blades and spoons in almost a necessity as they will can get wrapped up in that fine line.
