    Default Pole fishing?

I've recently gotten into pole fishing for crappie, but the pole I'm using is just a crappy crappie pole... Anyone have suggestions for good, cheap, crappie poles?

Cheap poles are usually crappy poles. However I haven't ever spent more than $50 on a pole and you know what, it catches crappie, not the crappy crappie, but the good crappy crappie. By the way, what other way is there to catch crappie other than using pole? I saw that Paul Hogan fella using dynamite...didn't think that would go over well in IL.

Bnm west points usually run about $30 or so for a 10 footer

I started out with a 10' BnM pole and reel combo that Bass Pro had on clearance for less that $30 and it lasted for years until I shut the rod tip in my truck door. Since then I have used 11' and 12' BnM poles matched up with Plueger reels that seem to work good together for a price around $80 for the set. I don't need the best of the best to catch crappies because I can be rough on my stuff. Just find what works for you. My set up I can jig, troll and even cast with. Just my .

BnM and Plueger does the trick. I seen a guy fishing next to pier with just line jig head and minnows catching nice crappie.
