They are both great palces on that end of the lake, R&K quick stop in Findlay is also good. Hook it baits and the spillway motel are great spots on the south end. All of these places are supporter of the Illinois Crappie Camp.
Lets go soak a line. Pat

I don't know what time you head out. I have always had trouble with minnows and timing!! I am on water at daylight and no one is ever open. Howys opens at five. The women that works in there is super! You order dozen minnows get enough you need not count them.......for sure!! All other places are good.........if they are open!!!!!!!!

Thanks for the input guys. Got to Chips around 630 and got my minnows, fished at bo woods from about 645-930. Bite was quite good in for the first hour and a half but around 815-830 it got realllly slow. Kept 10 overs and only got 1 under. half were caught on a minnow about 2 feet down, other half on a small jig with a curly tail reeled really slowly. Hope to get back out this week
