Shelbyville north or south?

I'm going to be camping at Eagle Creek May 3-4. Should I crappie fish north or south from there. I've only fished the lake one other time so don't know it that well. Thanks in advance.

you shouldn't have to travel far..there are a number of good coves close to eagle that should be produciing well early in May...I would start at Eagle and go north if I had to pick a direction...

I think your best bet would be to fish the trees in the water.

Trick is to fish the trees that you can't see 'cause fewer people know where they are. But usually takes either someone leaving their marker out there or 'dem new fangled eeeelectronics.
