Hello all. I am new to Crappie.com and look forward to sharing things. I have recently got into crappie fishing 2yrs ago but don't get to do a lot because of shift work and having a 23month old little girl who I love being with. But when I do go, I want to catch fish. I also enjoy deer hunting.
I have seen posts about Shelbyville and fishing the willows or smartweeds.
My question is what are Willows. I see stuff about flooded willows or main lake Willows and I don't understand it.
Does anyone have a picture of these willows so I know what I am looking for.
I know what willow trees are but I don't think that's the topic.
Thanks

A willow can also be stripped of inside bark and made into cordage......fun fact for the day!
Willows are still alive and growing at the water level.
I think the water needs to come up some before the willows will be in the water
