Nice job.. do yall have a house there or did you each bite the 70 sticker fee to launch the boat? Makes for some expensive fillets!

70$ sticker fee for where sara. Never heard of that
We tried Rend as well.... Then Egypt. Didn't do good on either Lake this last weekend. Maybe should have tried Sara. Congrats... those are some nice slabs.
Weekend pass for lake Sara $25 boat launch fee $5 stayed at the Super 8 $54 Got minnows at Anthony acres. We fished edges of main channels had to move around alot got a couple out in the middle of channels 7 ft deep fish on edges 18 inches down. Chartruese jigs worked well also.
No I was just curious. We heading down on the 22nd fish that day and next. Hopefully crappie be hitting then too. Or hopefully we find em
I think the $70 which is now $75 is the yearly pass so if you go there often yearly would be better. You have to have pass before launching either buy at gas station on way to lake or get one at Anthony acres. If you put in at Marina go right to main channel make another right follow channel almost to the end lot of brush, good coves, and no houses in that area otherwise docks are good and a few other brush areas around lake. They are adding big stone along edges to stop bank erosion which is ok but not best for Crappie fishing. We have stayed at Anthony acres once not bad for a fisherman and boats can stay in water but cheaper in the motel.
Nice fish! You've got to hit Sara just right to catch them with any size at all, and it looks like you had some dandies. What are you referring to as a channel? There is basically no river/creek channel left anywhere in that lake?
