I'm wanting to set up my Triton boat for spider rigging what is the best model of T bar to get? I've been looking at driftmaster but I'm stumped on how high the riser needs to be.
can't catch'em at home
I suggest sitting where you will be fishing and see what it comfortable for you to reach. Probably about 12" to 18" depending on how far away you place the holders. Point is you want to be able to quickly and easily lift a rod out and up to keep it from tangling in the other rods. Also make sure you check the TM stowed and deployed. My buddy just got a new boat and the I-Pilot lacks about 1 inch of clearing his left holder. My DF is obscured by my right holder, but I am going to replace it and get a Ram mount so I can see it without peeping around rod handles.
Several good brands out there and eveybody's got their favorite. so pick what feels best for you.

Like what has been said on here already, there are several good brands made now days. I personally like Driftmaster and Titelok. I have had them for years. 18" is about the right height for most people. Like it was stated make sure your trolling motor will clear because if it doesn't it's a pain in the butt to have and move holders everytime you want to move. I like the new individual holders made by Driftmaster. If in the way of your trolling motor they can easily be laided down and then put back up. The biggest thing is what works in your boat may not work in someone elses boat. Get you a style that works for you and the best you can afford. If you contact Driftmaster(David) and tell him what kind of boat you have he will help you out. Titelok (Jiulie) will also.
