Arthur show nicely done!
Well my fellow Illinois crappie.com folks, I thoroughly enjoyed my visit to the Arthur Expo yesterday! Farmboy and I left my house in rural Tuscola around 7:30, grabbed a quick bite of breakfast @ Yoder's in Arthur, then blazed a trail to the expo. The one thing that stands out in my mind is the knowledgeable people on the various stands we visited. I was impressed with Camo and his Ozark rods and am now shopping for a reel for my new 10' Ozark. I know Farmboy was drooling over the 7' that Camo told us he used for Walleye and we may have to hook up w/ya Camo down the road! Also met the Birdman and had a good time talking to him about fishing/the Ville/ college and life in general. We are thinking about booking a trip with him and really having a ball!! Met really nice people at every stand for the most part and my wallet is feeling the effects of wanting to get out and go fishing! I know i can probably toss a black and chartruese midsouth, 1/8th ounce, under a cork and catch crappie. But i want to see how well these electric chicken "Slab Stalkers" from Hook It Bait and Tackle perform or any of the other 100's of products I've amassed over this more than miserable Illinois winter! All in all, I would more than highly recommend this Expo to anyone, if you dont have a good time at it with all the great folks we have there from CDC, you are a sight harder to please than this old boy!!!!
Most men spend their entire life fishing, without realizing its not the fish they are after!
