Ranger & Triton both were bought out by the same company. Ranger used to be family owned and operated, no more.

Yep you are right, they are made side by side. Go to the factory and watch the quality of materials that go in them and they might as well be made on different sides of the planet!

I toured 3 plants. It was what made the final decision easy for me. I may have spent a few more $$$ but I am sure I will be satisfied with my boat, and I know customer service is second to none.

Yep they would be the same thickness, but there are several different grades of Aluminum as well as differing methods of boat construction. Just Saying! IMO best buy for the money in Aluminum boats would be Lowe. Best Aluminum boat but you are gonna pay a few more $$$ is Lund. Ranger is over priced but no doubt do make a nice boat. I wasn't impressed with the lay out. Opinions can vary and everyone is entitled to one.

the best layed out boat is the g3 176, it just needs more v in the bow to cut the waves better and a bigger hp limit. but they are all good boats

Not true at all. There are many different grades with the same thickness.
