Has anyone used Gulp minnows or Northland minnows under a bobber? Do they work as well as live minnows?

I use Gulp Alive as well, on a jig head straight down and give a little action. Work good and last longer on the hook. I'm sure you could used the same setup with a bobber...just twitch it a few times and let it set.
Thanks guys. I've heard that the Northland plastic baits called Impulse work better than Gulp. Anybody tried them?
Can't really find them local down this way unless I order them. Sure they are around but just not seen them.
I use the gulp minnows rigged on a trout magnet head for casting. I sometimes use a float if I need to slow it down. Drop shotted with a long rod they are great for working cover. Are they better than minnows, I doubt it, but its alot easier to use and they do work.
I don't use minnows much anymore. Gulp works just as well 90% of the time. I use a tecnique that I've never seen or heard anyone using and it's absolutely killer in shallow water down to about 6'. Need a long rod fast action and your best casting reel spoiled with 6# mono. Use a small wide gap hook and thread on about half a 2.5" gulp minnow. Even the smallest swivel will kill the action so make sure it's on straight or you'll end up with a nasty birds nest in no time. Cast without any bobber or weight and let it sink, jerk jerk jerk sink ect... Similar to working a fluke for bass. Outfishes any artificial or live 1:2 or more nearly every time. My go to and probably produces 90% of my shallow water crappie.
