    Default Shelby Draw Down?

I see they are letting out over 900, are they starting the winter draw down?

Thought I had heard they were going to hold more water this year to help the Mississippi if we had drought conditions again. They may have reconsidered after this snow. With warmer temperatures in the forecast and a lot of snow that's going to melt they may feel compelled to let a little through.

I just checked and it has increased to 1580, so I guess the drawdown has started.

Will that let all the ice fall in and break up in a couple of days?

Probably not Steve, I know guys that run traps under the ice even when it has dropped 8-10 ft.

Yep it has stared they show 594 so they are going to drop it 6ft. Hope the ice down river doesn't take out my dock at riverfront.

I figured once the water got away from the ice and the warm air got under it. it would just break up and fall down with nothing to support it. I will have to get down there while the water is down and find some new structure.

it will break and fall. Maybe back up in some coves there will be some space between liquid and solid but the ice can't support the weight. The drawdown will make it break up. Maybe we can all get out and fish in a few weeks?!?!
