    Default Rend 5/2/13 - 5/5/13

Fished with Crappie Predator Nick (Mean Green 2) on Thursday afternoon. We had 23 for a short afternoon trip.

Nick is the best, always knows where the fish are and always a fun time. If you are considering a guide on Rend, I highly recommend him.

Tried it on my own Friday, did pretty well. Nick even let us clean the fish at the Boneyard Lodge. We kept 34 for the day.

Saturday was a little tougher, the water temp dropped from 67 to 61 because of the overnight rain and we werent able to find them consistently. We kept 14 fish and all of them were nice. Here is a nice 2lb'er.

Sunday was "go home day" and it was raining all morning...but we went out anyway. I must say, good rain gear is worth its weight in gold! Kept only 9 fish, but some of them were really nice. Here is a few of the nicer ones with a couple of them @ 2lbs.

For the weekend, we fished Gun Creek primarily, but did OK around Rend Lake Lodge and in Marcum. Cant wait to get back down there.
