    Default Boatless man on Shelbyville

Since I am going to get in the field again tomorrow, I decided to get out again, 3rd straight day. Man it was beautiful out!! I started out at coal shaft and caught a few... It has been getting hit pretty good from the bank and boats! The big "stump had a ton of 6-8" fish on it. I ended up with 4 unders over 9" and 3 overs. I then decided to head to camfield. I fished the Christmas trees, stumps, and lay downs, depths 2-8'. Got only one more over and finished my unders... Many 9.75" fish. I saw some trees laying in the water that i have never fished before on my walk in and decided to go try them even though they were in shallow water. Man I wished I would of gone there first!! They were in the sun all afternoon ang water must of been warmer. Finished my last 6 overs in 15-20 min. Lots of fish on those trees, I wish I would of went there starting the day! Could of caught my limit off of those! Best part was I made it home to have dinner ready for my wife and daughters when they walked in the door!

Good Luck to everyone, will be back over when it rains or I get all my field work done, which ever comes first!

Your a heck of a guy Cory. I wanted to go out so bad today but had to finish getting ready for deer camp. Fixed some Italian beef from deer loin, Creamy clam chowder and thawed out some fish to fry up also. O yea, iced down some Buds to help wash it down.
Lets go soak a line. Pat

Your killin' me pat! Italian beef is one of my favorite foods! You didn't miss much at Coal Shaft, it's been hit pretty hard.

I too wanted to go out, however I am remodeling the main bathroom. Stripping all 4 walls to teh studs.

Sounds like you learned a thing or two this time out. Remember that for the fall and spring fishing. They will move into shallow water for the warmth, actually for teh food. The food moves to the warmer water for food.

Cory--You're going to have to get a new freezer just for the fish. I'll do some stompin for you tomorrow since you won't be out. Taking my fool-proof guide(Delmar) so getting fish shouldn't be a problem. Ha!!!! Bow--You can cook for me anytime, sounds great.

Jerry, the the phrase "fool-proof guide", part of that is correct! I haven't seen or heard Polly this week... I am sure he has been hiding and wearing them out!!!

I talked to a Bank Stomper (BSer) at Wilborn the other day (White pickup). That BSer had a nice mess and some really nice crappie along with about a 3.5 pound 'eye. I was impressed!
