Well time to start crappie fishing again and here is the reason.

Have I ever told you guys I love rend lake public land. Now that Im bucked out its time to hit the water.I shot these 2 from the same stand at fitzgerald a week apart. On the 28th I stuck this 8 pointer right before shooting light was up he was making a rub right underneath me he would have stayed there till dark so I had to shoot him almost directly under me but he only went 80 yds and fell over he was a good mature buck just not real good genetics 22 inches wide and thick just no tine length. The next one is a 11 pointer from the same stand last saturday I was watching them run dogs after I forgot they were running them that weekend. So thinking there is no way Im gonna see a deer now I was enjoyin the show when I heard crunching of something walking to me I turned and guess what I see from the time I seen him till the time I shot could not have been 10 secs. I had no clue how big he was cuz before I shot I just seen a good rack. He was a little young prolly 3 yrs old had I known he was that young I prolly wouldnt have shot him. But Im not complaining cuz these are good public land deer and I had great season now its doe patrol and crappie fishing.
