In this political season, let me acknowledge the fact that every politician wants to produce more jobs at home and crack down on chinese imports. Most of you know Luke and I have a small business. We decided when we started this company to trademark our logo basically so we would have a leg to stand on when the chinese decided to either rip off or knock off our products. The US patent and trades office did their part along with our lawyer (who has went thru the uspto process several times) answering emails at $400 a pop to put our business in the red right off the bat. I am a union member, gun toter, outdoorsman, christian and small business owner so I have almost all of the political agendas covered. After this experience I believe we need to focus our efforts on the internal system and not point the finger externally. Promote the entrepeneur, protect him and let him use the money he makes and he will be creative and build from the ground up. How many creative, hard working, intuitive americans have had their own government suffocate their business dreams?

Very well said! My daughter and son-in-law went into business for themselves in September of this year. I sure hope and pray that they are able to survive the bureaucratic BS the government puts on them. Best wishes to you in your business venture.

Amen! If some of these taxes are not lifted along with some of the EPD, Govermental regulations the first quarter of next year will be a worst disaster than the past four years. All this talk with the current administration being on the side of small business is just talk. I work for a family owned company with around 140 employees and we can not survive another four years if they are anything like the past four years. There are no easy anwers but Class Warfare is not the answer.

THE GOVERMENT CAN NOT GIVE ANYTHING TO ANYONE THAT IT DOES NOT TAKE FROM SOMEONE ELSE FIRST.

Governement regulations are a nightmare, and then theres taxes. Not just federal, but state taxes too.

I heard that Obamacare is going to tax the individual on teh portion the company pays for insurance at your tax rate. In other words, that "benefit" of insurance will now be considered part of your income, and taxed accordingly.

We appreciate your service! My brother and I come from a military family. It once was Chanute AB but it didn't have the plush golf course so it was closed or so the rumor goes. My mom has lived all over. I still believe in a strong military and I have no problems sending my tax dollars there.
The stimulus money seemed like a good idea but where it was placed was a failure. I am sure it was like anything else u scratch my back I will scratch yours. We use companies that give us perks, take us to sporting events etc. wine and dine expense accounts are part of business but the only problem is the government is using our money. Can we put a tax on politicians since they are supposed to provide a service, and use it to pay down our debt? LOL... Might kill two birds with one stone...
