Started on the north end around 10:00. Found a few fish in one of my favorite laydowns 10-12 ft down. Picked up a few more over a couple brushpiles and on the way back noticed I was marking fish nearly on the bottom in 30' of water. Dropped down a roadrunner and immediately picked up a nice white. Kept at it for another hour and ended the day with 20 nice fish. Most were whites in the 10" range with 2 blacks between 12 and thirteen. Seems like when you get blacks out there they run much nicer.
It's a little hard to figure out a pattern right now on Cedar as they seem to be all over the place and kind of spread out still. Hopefully some cold weather helps soon.

Yeah, there just never seems to be a lot of people crappie fishing that lake...I imagine in the spring it's a little different but there are lots of times I'm out there with 20 other boats fishing bass and only me fishing crappies...Fine by meSeriously though...It's a fun lake and although it doesn't produce numbers for me like some of the other more famous crappie lakes it's a pretty consistent place to find a good meal and have a shot at a big one. I lost one earlier in the year boatside that I know would have gone on my wall and I have a 16" on my wall right now...I immediately bought a net...
I'm gonna try it again in the morning if the wind doesn't blow me off.
