give a man a fish he'll eat for a day, teach a man to fish and he'll spend thousands of dollars on fishing equipment

I hear people are starting to catch them in deeper water. I need to get a sticker for that lake. A friend of mines father-inlaw just a bought a house on the water and he is wanting to start fishing that lake.

Slab, Lake Bloomington is very different from evergreen as there is not much wood and shoreline structure. Areas around some docks can be good at times but you have to be mindful of the residents and respect their space, some can be cantankerous and cause you problems but most are very nice. Many crappie guys on this lake hit the same spots as everybody else and milk them dry. Post spawn can be very good like evergreen if your style of fishing fits where the fish move to. I live at LK BLM so I fish it more than evergreen and the size of fish is usually equal but evergreen can be better for size in summer if you fish for the deep ones. Like some of the other guys, I am ready for the fish to spawn and get the rush out of the way so the crowds die down.
